Lymphoma

Background

Hodgkin's Lymphoma (HL) and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) are both lymphomas, a form of cancer which affects the lymphatic system (a network of glands throughout the body). The lymphatic glands produce a clear fluid known as lymph which circulates round the body and contains lymphocytes (particular white blood cells). Lymphocytes are part of the normal defence system of the body. Lymphomas are potentially life threatening.
