Scleroderma

Background

Scleroderma (hard skin) is a little-known disease of the connective tissue, immune system and blood vessels which primarily affects women in the child-bearing years, though it can affect anyone of any age. It results in taut, hard, discoloured skin and may also affect the internal organs.
