Contact a Family are the delivery partner for the Department for Education contract to support the development of parent carer participation and forums, and to work with the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF). The NNPCF will be key partners in decision making around the programme, and we look forward to continuing to work together. The support offer which is available through the programme can be viewed by opening the documents below.

Applications for this year's parent carer participation grant of £10,000 will be accepted from 5 March 2012 onwards. Please click below to access the relevant documentation. This letter from 24 February 2012 summarises the grant monitoring and application process for 2012/13.
Forums completed a baseline monitoring exercise that identified their learning needs. Contact a Family have since met with training providers to see how we can offer appropriate learning and development opportunities. This document shows anonymously the outcomes from the region. If you are a trainer and may be interested in providing some of the sessions we are looking for, or would like to be included on our recommended provider list, then please read the above document, and submit the necessary documentation as described.
Contact a Family are offering all forums free training through our National Learning and Development Programme. The Programme consists of training sessions that focus on issues that forums in each area highlighted as most needed. The sessions are free and will cover a range of subjects. Together for Disabled Children have published their final report about the progress made over the Aiming High for Disabled Children programme in relation to parent participation, short breaks and disabled children's access to childcare (dcatch). Great progress has been made in all areas of work, and the report provides evidence about the growth, and positive outcomes.
