Why create change today?

Did you know, in the UK there are over one million children who have special educational needs or disability? Are you shocked that today, one in three of these families live in poverty, and many more urgently need support as soaring living costs, long-term under-funding of public services, and fallout from the pandemic worsen inequalities?

Our vision is for children with additional needs and disabilities, and their families, to thrive in a world that respects and supports them for who they are. We exist to move families from isolation to connection, as families grow in confidence to access the support they need to create community and positive change.

Your legacy is incredibly important and powerful, no matter how big. 99% of your estate could reach your loved ones, and 1% could transform our charity’s future.

Only you can help us expand our services in ways that otherwise aren’t possible. In these increasingly complex and urgent times, you can help us be there for the growing number of families to come.

Kathleen’s giving story

When a car accident killed her fiancée, Kathleen Barnett was left very seriously disabled. Her stepmother Ivy devoted her entire life to Kathleen’s care.

When she passed away, Kathleen left a gift of £50,000 to Contact in memory of herself and her stepmother. In the last year alone, their legacy went towards giving 1,000 families and professionals vital financial information that helped keep families afloat.
