In organising your own walk you can tailor it to your own requirements. The walk is yours, so set your location, date, time, length and amount of participants to suit you and your networks.
How do I get started? Once you have registered to hold your own walk follow these simple steps:
-Choose a location, time, difficulty of the walk and set the date.
-Start to recruit some walkers – tell your friends, family and colleagues about what you are doing and encourage them to join you.
-Work out a budget at the start of your planning. Include any costs you might incur in (e.g. promotion) and calculate how much you think you will raise though sponsorship.
-Download or request a sponsorship form and request the materials you might need.
How will Contact a Family support me? Whether you are planning a big or small walk, we will help you every step of the way with useful tips, fundraising ideas and any materials you might need. You organise a fantastic walk, and we’ll ensure your supporters are well equipped to raise as much funds as possible for families with disabled children!
