Their role is to gather information on local sources of support for families, provide useful local information to parents and professionals and publicise the kind of help that Contact a Family can provide for example, managing a stand at an information day or local parents' event.
Most reps also end up joining a local planning group or forum and raising concerns for families.
To help you to do this, we provide all out of pocket expenses, a separate phone line at your home, display boards, posters, leaflets and publications for you to give out. We also provide opportunities for you to meet with teams in your locality and to attend residential events for training, sharing of ideas and a night out together without the family!

If you are parenting a child with additional needs and want to help other families in your area to find the information and support they need, then we would like to hear from you.
