Free representation for families of children who have been excluded from school

May 19 2010

BPP Law School Pro Bono Centre is running a project which provides free representation for parents of permanently excluded school pupils at Governors' Disciplinary Committee and Independent Appeal Panel hearings. The representatives will be BPP law students who have undertaken specific training in exclusions law and will be mentored by Doughty Street barristers.

The Centre wants to hear from any families of children who have been permanently excluded who are interested in receiving representation.

Please note that the project may not have the capacity to provide representation for all cases. If so, they will inform you promptly and try to help you find representation elsewhere. Priority will be given to cases being heard at the IAP and to cases which are considered to be urgent in some way.
