Aiming High - Working Together

A free event for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities.

Autism West Midlands support and drop-in sessions
Dates and time: 25 February and 25 March, 10am–12pm

Autism.west midlands and the Communication and autism team invite parents/carers of children on the autistic spectrum to their parent support and drop in sessions.
Sensory issues and ASD

Time: 10am-2.30pm
These are being held by Autism.west midlands in partnership with Contact a Family. They are for parents, carers, children and siblings.

Kidz in the Middle
Date and time: Thursday 11 March 9.30am–4.30pm
Location: Ricoh Arena, 71 Phoenxi Way, Coventry, CV6 6GE
This is one of the largest, free exhibitions dedicated to disabled children, their families and carers and the health professionals who work with them. There will be information on mobility, seating, beds, communication, access, education, toys, transport, style, sensory, sports, leisure etc.
There is an area solely dedicated to leisure activities, with a sports arena where children can participate in inclusive activities.

Independent living exhibition
Date and time: 20-21 April 10am-5pm and 22 April 10am-4pm
Location: National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham
Naidex is an exhibition of the latest products and services to aid independent living. The area called KideQuip is dedicated to children’s equipment and services. This is aimed at parents of children with disabilities and paediatric healthcare. Entrance to the exhibition is free. You can register on line in advance.
