Contact a Family has entered into a pilot project with Citizens Advice Bureau to improve the supply of face to face debt advice to families with disabled children. The Greater London area is one of the pilot areas in which the new service has started. There are seven workers based in Camden CAB who offer advice and help for families with disabled children anywhere in the Greater London area. They will arrange to visit you at home anywhere in London. If you would like to make an appointment, please call the Contact a Family helpline on 0808 808 3555 and we will arrange an appointment for you.
In partnership with Contact a Family and the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB), Citizens Advice is currently seeking information about the experiences of disabled people and their carers who have had financial difficulties.
If you are disabled, or there is someone in your household who is disabled, and you have had difficulties paying bills or are in debt, we would like to hear from you.
If you are in this situation, we would be very grateful if you could spend a short time answering a few simple questions. There are eleven questions altogether.
The results of this survey will be used to inform our report on debt and disability which will be published in spring 2011. Click here to take the survey
