Our friendly and well attended group holds gatherings on a Sunday afternoon seasonally, giving opportunities for the whole family to come along, enabling sibling support and friendships to develop between our children as well as between the mums and dads. Everyone is welcome, however frequently or infrequently they come. We meet up to share information, friendship and our journeys. We provide fun supervised activities for the children whilst the adults share challenges and successes with support from the group. Sometimes during this time we may also have a speaker or watch films relevant to issues arising from Down’s Syndrome. We then all gather together to eat freshly prepared seasonal food. We also provide information and support about Down’s Syndrome to new parents and actively promote awareness and education about Down’s Syndrome. Geographically we cover a large area and as such a lot of our support is via telephone and email. We are affiliated to the D.S.A. and regularly email out relevant information from them to those who are on our email C.W.D.S.S.G group list.

For information about our group, or to talk with the parent of a child with Down’s Syndrome, or to be added to our email list publicising meetings and other items of interest and information please email us via the contact us page.
