Our Library and Information team manage the Annette Chumley Library which holds a range of information and resources of relevance to disabled children, their carers and the professionals who support them.

If you are a professional working with families with disabled children, or a student studying an issue connected with disabled children and/or their carers we can help you by:

• giving you information on medical conditions affecting children, including very rare disorders. All the medical information published by Contact a Family is written by leading experts in the field, specifically for parents and families;
• sending you our factsheet 'About Families With Disabled Children' as well as other factsheets giving information on a range of issues including aids and equipment, special educational needs and social services assessments;
• providing you with details of organisations working in this field, including professional organisations, research institutions and generic disability organisations;
• giving you information on a wealth of issues connected with caring for a disabled child, examples of which can be found within our frequently asked questions.
