Acne

How is it treated?

Acne is a very treatable disease and the aims of treatment are to prevent both physical and psychological scarring. Acne should never be ignored - it is no good waiting to grow out of it as it may be very persistent and can cause a major impact on your quality of life. The earlier it is treated the better the end result. Considerable advances have been made over the last decade in the treatment of acne including the development of a variety of light therapies and the new development of laser therapy for acne. Acne scarring is also becoming more treatable with a number of new techniques coming on line.
