Cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome
Background
Cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome: CFC syndrome
Cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome (CFC) was first described independently by James Reynolds from the USA and Michael Baraitser and Michael Patton from the UK in 1986. It is an infrequent congenital (present at birth) condition of multiple physical anomalies and learning disability. Less than 300 cases of CFC syndrome are known worldwide. CFC syndrome affects both sexes and all ethnic groups.
