Is there support?
There is no specific support group for Hereditary and Sensory Autonomic Neuropathies. However, support for Familial Dysautonomia (HSAN Type III) may be obtained from the Dysautonomia Society of Great Britain (see entry, Familial Dysautonomia) and Climb (see entry, Metabolic Diseases) provides support for Riley-Day Syndrome (HSAN Type III). Families can use Contact a Family's Freephone Helpline for advice, information and, where possible, links to other families, or to organisations providing support for individual features of the different types of HSAN.
