Costello syndrome

Inheritance patterns and prenatal diagnosis

Inheritance patterns
Most cases of Costello syndrome are sporadic (isolated with no other affected family members). The cause of CS is unknown. It is thought to be a new genetic change, either in a single genetic instruction or gene or a sub-microscopic missing piece of chromosome.

Prenatal diagnosis
None available.
