The Society is a National Registered Charity No. 1062595, established in 1983. It offers contact between affected individuals through local self-help groups and area contacts in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. It publishes a newsletter three times a year. It has a wide range of information available, details on request. The Society has over 3,500 members who are mostly affected individuals.
