The Society is a National Registered Charity No. 1127861 and a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee No. 6724061, established in 1990. It offers support, information and advice to affected families and professionals. Family members have the opportunity to participate in research studies and the family conferences. It publishes a newsletter and has a DVD and book plus a wide range of information (details available on request). There are helplines on education, epilepsy and benefits. The Society has over 1,700 members.
