Freeman Sheldon syndrome
How is it treated?
Physiotherapy should be used to alleviate the joint contractures. If this is insufficient and the contractures affect the function of the hands, then orthopaedic surgery may be required.
There may be malocclusion of the teeth and orthodontic treatment of this may be required. Opening the mouth fully for dental treatment may be difficult.
