HUSH is a Scottish registered charity (No. SCO 026945), established in 1997 following a large outbreak of E.coli poisoning. It supports families affected by E.coli 0157 and/or Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome (HUS), and can put affected people in touch with others who have been affected previously. HUSH also raises awareness of the bacterium among members of the public and the medical profession. Information leaflets and posters are available on request. Membership is free and exceeds 290.
