HemiHelp is a National Registered charity, No. 1085349, established in 1991 for children and young people who have hemiplegia. The charity offers information and support by telephone, letter, e-mail, its quarterly magazine and its website, which contains over 50 downloadable leaflets and an active message board. HemiHelp also holds regular conferences on topics of interest to parents/carers and professionals, as well as 'fun days' for families and creative workshops for children. In addition, the charity offers a home visiting service, a network of local groups, a pen pal scheme and an equipment hire scheme. HemiHelp has a membership of over 3,500 people, including families, professional members and adults with hemiplegia.
