The Trust is a National Registered Charity, No. 1004546 formally, established in 1991. It has strong links with international organisations and three trustees are members of the UK Children's Cancer Study Group. The Trust operates a 'Circle of Friends' for mutual support through information, newsletters, family days and road shows led by Histiocytosis experts. Funding from the Trust supports the UK & Ireland epidemiology research project at Newcastle University and a project by a team of research scientists at the Univerity of Lausanne in Switzerland. The Trust is in touch with well over 100 families around the UK and overseas.
