Leukaemia and other allied blood disorders

Related disorders

Other allied disorders are lymphomas (tumours of the lymph glands). There are two main types, Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Both involve the lymph nodes and may also involve other tissues. Multiple Myeloma is the excessive production of one particular type of lymphoid cell, plasma cells, in the bone marrow which is often associated with bone problems. Aplastic Anaemia is a condition where the bone marrow is empty and fails to produce adequate numbers of blood cells - Acquired Aplastic Anaemia (see entry); Congenital Aplastic Anaemia (see entry, Fanconi Anaemia).
