The Foundation is a National Registered Charity No. 1067331, established in 1980. It fights childhood liver disease through providing pioneering research, effective education and giving professional, caring emotional support to families and young people with a liver disease. It aims to develop its programmes of activities to provide an authoritative and effective voice in its support, in every respect, of young people, families and healthcare professionals. It publishes a magazine 'Delivery' and has a wide range of information available, details on request. The Foundation represents over 5,000 families. Each year approximately 1,000 children are diagnosed with some form of liver disease.
