Liver disease

What are the symptoms?

The signs and symptoms of liver disease can be non-specific but may include:

  • Jaundice
  • Nausea
  • Yellow urine
  • Pale-coloured stools
  • Change of sleep patterns
  • Vomiting of blood or blood in the stools
  • Abdominal swelling caused by a large liver, large spleen or excess fluid in the abdomen
  • Lethargy, tiredness or general loss of stamina.
