Moya Moya disease

How is it diagnosed?

Following MRI, cerebral angiography, in which a dye is injected into the arteries of the brain, is the conventional method of diagnosis. In Moya Moya patients a characteristic pattern of narrowed arteries and the anastomotic (extra) arteries is seen.
