The Trust is a National Registered Charity Number 1062308, established in 1997 to support all people in the UK living with Multiple System Atrophy and their carers. The Trust employs specialist nurses to offer support to patients and their families, and also to provide an educational resource to professionals. The Trust also provides information on other autonomic disorders such as pure autonomic failure. Their services include an advice line, support meetings, a newsletter, SMarT News, written information and education sessions. The Trust also sponsors and promotes research into MSA. The Trust is funded entirely by donations.
