Necrotising Fasciitis

How is it treated?

A high index of suspicion, early supportive care, aggressive surgical debridement and broad-spectrum intravenous antibiotics are mandatory. The use of intravenous immunoglobulins have been associated with improved survival when associated with toxic shock. Long term surgical follow up may be required to treat disfiguring scars.
