RP Fighting Blindness is a National Registered Charity No. 271729, established in 1975. Other conditions covered by the Group are Macular dystrophy, Best disease, Butterfly-shaped dystrophy, Stargardt disease, Bull's-eye Dystrophy, Central Areolar Choroidal dystrophy, Inherited Disciform Macular Degeneration and Choroideremia. The eye problems presented by Usher syndrome; Refsum disease and Laurence-Moon-Bardet-Biedl syndrome are also covered by the Group. It offers support and contact through a network of branches. It publishes a quarterly newsletter, a monthly e-bulletin and has a wide range of information available, details on request. They have around 3,000 members.
