Rethink is a National Registered Charity No. 271028, established in 1972, formerly known as the National Schizophrenia Fellowship. It works to help everyone affected by severe mental illness recover a better quality of life by providing quality support, services and information and by influencing local, regional and national policies. Rethink is the largest mental health voluntary organisation in Europe. It offers advice and advocacy services, day care schemes, employment projects, registered nursing or residential care homes, supported accommodation projects and training courses. It also campaigns to influence the national and local decision makers about mental health issues. It publishes a quarterly magazine and has a wide range of information available, details on request. Rethink has around 7,000 members.

(Scotland) is a Scottish Registered Charity No. 13649, established in 1984. It offers support to people affected by mental illness including carers. It has a network of local support groups, provides a range of information (details on request), manages drop-in centres, employment support officers, Carers' Officers and an online Carers' Forum. NSF (Scotland) information services respond to over 3,000 calls a year and 3,000 people also use the project services annually.
