The Trust is a National Registered Charity No. 1106815, established in 1985. It offers support, information and contact with other families. The Trust also funds research into the causes, treatment and management of SMA. It can help with the provision of equipment both via its loan library and equipment panel. It publishes a quarterly newsletter 'Holding Hands' and has a wide range of information available, details on request. The Trust has over 1,500 members.
