Uveitis

Inheritance patterns and prenatal diagnosis

Inheritance patterns
Uveitis is not an hereditary condition that runs in families as there is no identifiable gene that causes the disease. However, certain people will have an increased susceptibility due to the genes they have. Certain types of uveitis have an association with gene types such as HLA B27, HLA B51 and HLA A29.

Prenatal diagnosis
None.
