Waardenburg syndrome

Background

Waardenburg syndrome (WS) is an inherited condition which may be associated with a range of features. The main characteristics of WS include hearing impairment (see Deafness), pigmentation changes of iris, hair, and skin, and a characteristic facial appearance.
