Xeroderma Pigmentosum

How is it treated?

The treatment for XP should include genetic counselling and rigorous protection against UV light with sunscreens, wearing of UV blocking clothing and eyewear and modification of lifestyle to minimize UV exposure. Pre-malignant skin lesions should be treated and neoplasms should be removed early. In some patients, oral Isotreteioin has been showed to delay the risk of skin cancer.
