How is each entry checked?

The information in each medical entry is reviewed by a medical expert in the field, usually consultant level or equivalent. With some very rare disorders, there may only be a few experts that know a significant amount of information about the condition. Contact a Family contacts the relevant experts for each condition and invites them to review and update our information as part of a rolling programme. Details of authorship appear at the bottom of each page along with the author’s position and their affiliation.
