Free guide to claiming Disability Living Allowance for children now available

Friday 9th May 2014

Contact a Family have published the latest version of their popular guide to claiming Disability Living Allowance for children.

Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is the main benefit for disabled children and is there to meet any extra costs you might have to pay for your child.

Written by our senior welfare rights adviser, the guide takes you through the questions on the form and gives hints and tips on what they mean and how to answer them.

The guide tells you who can claim and how. Your child doesn't need a diagnosis to qualify, and your child's disability doesn't have to be severe - a child who needs help for just part of the day can qualify. Plus, you can still claim DLA if you work.
