Care Services Minister, Paul Burstow, has announced that the government is investing £32 million in psychological therapies, including talking therapies, for children and teenagers with mental health problems. One in ten children aged 5-16 years has a clinically diagnosable mental health problem and mental illness in childhood and adolescence which can impact on their future life chances. The investment is allowing psychological therapies to be specifically adapted from successful models for adults to fit children and teenager’s needs. Read More...
