Contact a Family staff across the UK have a great deal of experience in giving presentations, and running training workshops for a range of professionals, to help them understand the issues families with disabled children face, the work of Contact a Family as well as on specific topics relating to disability.
We have presented to national conferences such as those organised by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), Dept of Health and Dept for Children, Schools and Families. We regularly provide workshops to student paediatricians and nurses as part of their course curriculum.
